Please let us know when labor has started so that we can plan for the process of encapsulation. We will come and pick up the placenta from either your home, the birthing center or the hospital depending on where you give birth.

How should my placenta be stored/transported?
The placenta should be placed into a ziploc bag, double bag is prefered. It should go into the fridge as soon as possible. You can also use a cooler for transport.
How long does the encapsulation process take?
We usually start the process as soon as we pick up or get to the placenta. The second part of the encapsulation takes place after the dehydration has completed, usually the next day. Usually the pills are ready 24-48 hours after we receive or arrive to the placenta.
How much do I take?
Each placenta usually yields about 150 capsules. Our recommendation is as follows:
- take 3 capsules, 3 times a day for the first week
- take 2 capsules, 3 times a day for the second and third week
- take 1 capsule, 3 times a day until they are gone
If you wish you can keep some and store them in the freezer for future use.
How do I store my pills?
You will want to store your pills in the dark jar provided and kept in a cool, dark place like a refrigerator.
What is the shelf life of my pills?
The capsules can have a very long shelf life. It has been said they can last until menopause. However, we recommend that you store them in the freezer if you plan to keep them long term.
